I bought MGS4, and just finished it ------ And it is now one of my favorite games. I never played any of the MGS games before, nor did I ever feel impulsed to play any of them. Never caught my attention. Because of all the buzz and the awesome videos I saw on MGS4, I decided I would step into the MGS story.
I freaking LOVED this game. I sure as hell had a hard time understanding the story, and spent lots of time on Wiki and asking friends who the hell everyone was. But yeah, I did understand. Dammit, I loved it - I almost cried when I finished it. lol
Just one thing though, who are the patriots? It's the group Zero started, right? And will Snake die soon?T
he game was perfect *cries* (Although I, too, wish I could have played as Raiden. He's bad arse :D)

Yeah, the Patriots were started by Zero in an attempt to unify the world. It's also pretty obvious that Snake dies, he probably lives for a bit under a year after the end of MGS4 considering that's the original estimate Otacon comes up with. If you'd played MGS2 you could've played as Raiden, in fact I'm amazed you enjoyed the game as much as you apparently have considering half of the fun was finally having so many things revealed. I mean the MGS fans who've played all of them from the beginning have been waiting since 2001 to find out who the Patriots are. It'll be interesting to see what MGS5 is though, Kojima already has three concepts but he's said he hopes the team ignores all of them and creates their own. Personally I'm hoping for a continuation focusing on Raiden or a game set just after MGS2 when he rescues Sunny from the Patriots. Mind you I wouldn't be opposed to another Big Boss game either.
I don't actually have an emblem although I imagine I'm close to eagle since the majority of my kills are headshots, I just don't have a good enough K/D ratio. Oh and I'm a level 6.
Nope, a lot of people don't have them. No one really knows what the conditions are that you need fulfill to get them either. I think to get an eagle one you need to have the majority of your kills as headshots but also have a really good K/D ratio. Mine's like 100 more kills than deaths and most of my kills are headshots but I'm still emblemless.
This is a simple guide to help you understand, and possibly achieve the special animal rankings for your character(s) in Metal Gear Online.
First, you need to understand how the system works:
-There are no static number requirements; those are for your "Awards" page like "1000 kills" or "25 Headshots." The requirements for animal ranks are all based on ratios. So, 3 kills to 1 death is essentially the same as 300 kills to 100 deaths.
-Some ranks can be overridden by a higher rank. So let's say you are going for Bee, but end up dishing out too many headshots in the process; you%u2019ll get Eagle, despite meeting the requirement for Bee since Eagle ranks higher.I'll list ranks from Best to Worst as per the game's standards. So a rank listed higher than another, overrides what is below it.
-Certain sets of ranks require a certain amount of play time.---Fox and Foxhound require 15 hours---Hound and Doberman require 10 hours---Crocodile, Eagle, and Jaws require 5 hours---Specialty ranks require 3 hours (Everything else)
Throughout the guide, I'll mention things like "K/D" (Kill/Death) and "Win" ratios. To calculate these, use the following formulas:
-K/D ratio: (Kills divided by Deaths)-K s/D s ratio: (Kills Stuns) Divided by (Deaths Stuns received) -Win ratio: (Rounds won divided by Rounds played) x 100
Only apply ratio requirements to the match types I specify individually.
Notes: This is a tricky rank to "test" for, for obvious reasons. I did in factnot log in for twenty five days and did not receive it, but 30 days might not be "correct" either. I'll explain: Tsuchinoko is based off the "Weekly Total" screen, It may be a certain amount of "weeks" that need to be zeroed out, butI'm not sure. I do know that Tsu will appear once you play a round after enoughtime has passed, and will stay until that specific week is reset. After thatreset, you'll either go to any other rank you qualify for, or keep Tsu ifyou have nothing else. Tsuchinoko is listed at the top since it can overrideany rank, if only for a small period of time.

Requirements:1: Total Cardboard Box uses divided by total rounds played must be higherthan 15.
