This is the fixed version of the Mario ship.  The other one didn't shoot correctly.  Could an admin or someone please replace the other one with this or something?

That's very well done. Good work.I'm wanting to do original pixel art. Have any pointers?

Yeah.  Make a block and duplicate it over and over.  I use the direction pad to move the duplicated blocks into position, as well as keep "snap to grid" selected, otherwise the blocks don't line up very easily.   I also zoom in pretty close to make sure the blocks are lined up correctly.
