If you're new to Battalion Wars, think of it as a loose third person shooter - you play as one character at a time out of many on your squad that you can control - mixed with the strategy of choosing which units to send where and when on the fly. Instead of counting kills or spawning, your platoon slowly diminishes to failure while you battle your way through enemy lines to complete objectives. Online, you assume various roles in a small number of varying game types.
The story and graphics and depth are all very deep, like other recent Nintendo published games, and it's clear that the first party Wii line-up is prepared to offer us gamers a lot of play time with each title. Battalion Wars 2 is no exception, as it seems the solo game is very long, and the online versus and co-op add a ton of replay value.
If only Excite Truck got this much love.
If you're into shooters, challenging action platformers, or tactic games, Battalion Wars 2 is a safe buy, it's unlikely you'll be disappointed unless you're more of the latter. But beware, the difficulty of the opponents will require skill and perseverance, as it is not a casual game.
overall this is a buy
coming off of the first game, the controls are harder to control. you get more artillary and military vehicles in this game at least. you might be dissappointed that you don't play as the western frontier for the whole game, well, don't be. different groups means different weapons. if you liked the first one, get this one too, but as stated before, careful with the controls.

The only thing it lacks is no multiplayer exept over wi-fi.
Some things in the game needed work, but it didnt keep me from buying this Spectacular game.
This game is great but the camra needs some working on. The Wi-fi is great ALMOST NO LAG!.. but other than that it gets borring every misson is almost the same thing..
yaakkk
Looks good, and there is no lack of action... but I found the game had a tendency to "play itself" while I would offer some vague directions for troops and vehicles. After several play attempts, Battalion Wars never really caught my interest or made me crave one more game. Maybe just a case of expectations not matching the actual product, since I was really hoping for something closer to RTS-style gameplay.
i luv this game i really hope nintendo makes another one its strategy is good and i like the story lines really good everbody should buy it
